Chinese Teapots, or cast iron teapots, were first used to boil water over an open fire and were usually hung above a hearth to provide heat and humidity. Chinese teapots today are perfect for steeping and serving your tea. (Not for direct heat.) Teapot holds approximately 16 oz. of tea. Handle pivots for easy lifting and storeage.
Cast Iron Teapot is 4.5" across and 4.5" tall (6" tall w/handle). Two Cast Iron Tea cups are 3" across and 2" tall. Also includes Cast Iron Trivet and one stainless steel strainer which sits snuggly into the teapot and is easily removed for later cleaning.
